The NEC fair in Birmingham wanted to make better and more frequent use of its existing halls.
Standworks ELAN used the TransFlex XL retractable seating system to create a concept for the use of the halls with a mobile system. The starting point of our planning was a planned capacity of approx. 2,000 visitors on high-end seating systems with chairs upholstered on all sides, glass railings and carpet flooring.
Our concept envisaged 14 mobile, transportable half-blocks, each of which could be put together in 7 blocks with 273 seats, making up a total of 1911 seats. The installation of these TransFlex retractable seating blocks can be done in a variety of configurations for a wide variety of events. Each tribune block has a separate staircase in the rear to comply with all safety regulations.
